James is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Land Agent and holds the position of Managing Partner of HLB Mann Judd.  James is the Deputy Chair of the HLB Mann Judd Australasia National Executive. He is a Partner in the Business Services Division whose expertise extends across several industry groups including wine, hospitality, property and construction, and agribusiness. James is also the divisional head of the Property Services Division.

James is a regular presenter and media contributor on business structuring, taxation, business planning and funding. In addition, he actively supports community and not-for-profit housing in South Australia, and assists community and not-for-profit housing organisations and co-operatives to secure State and Commonwealth funding.

James has held the position of CEO and Secretary since December 2020, and prior to that was the Assistant Secretary of Adelaide Workers’ Homes since 1993.
